Conference fees

The conference fee has been substantially reduced due to the move online. The higher fees for authors reflect the fact that with the online format the abstract and paper management accounts for a large share of the workload and the expenses of the event. Please remember that for every accepted contribution one author will have to register at the author’s rate.

According to § 3a Sec. 3 No. 5 of the German Value Added Tax Act the service provided is taxable and liable to tax in Germany. Please note that the reverse charge procedure does not apply to services in respect to admission to scientific events. Under certain circumstances there is the possibility to reclaim paid VAT within the framework of the VAT refund procedure. To do this, your company/institution would have to contact your domestic tax administration and submit an application. In some countries, certain minimum refund amounts must also be reached in order to be allowed to file an application at all.
